CrissB.amazing - Mended Heartbeats

If you thought CrissB.amazing was only good for turn up anthems or enlightened lyricism (strange combo, but homie has both on lock), then you're sleeping on the wolf.

Since the start of 2018, we've heard a few new records from CrissB, including "Sense of Self (The FLex)", "CNote" and "Mood". Now, as he continues working on the various projects that are currently being cooked up, Bawrs lets loose a folder of unheard material.

Mended Heartbeats reveals a more emotional side of CrissB, as the Hartford native takes listeners on a journey through love, lust and all the highs and lows that come along with the "L word". In addition to subject matter that veers from what may be expected, CrissB uses this project to flex his vocals, crooning and even rapping in a softer manner than usual.

The change of pace came as an unexpected but well received surprise. I always appreciate seeing an artist push their boundaries and step out of what my be considered their comfort zone. This is where growth comes from.

Watch Now: Aaron Cohen & Eklips in Paris (Video)

While in Paris - which appears to be one of his homes away from home at this point - Aaron Cohen bumped into Eklips outside a train station. With cameras rolling, the renowned beatboxer proceeded to drop Dipset's " Oh Boy " instrumental as Cohen does what he does best, lacing the France-based musician's rendition of the track with characteristically self-confident quotables. Raz Simone - "Clout" [prod. Anthony Danza] (Video)

Fresh off the heels of another trip around the sun, Raz Simone comes through with his first visuals of 2018. In typical Raz fashion, the Black Umbrella founder holds nothing back on "Clout", addressing a myriad of subject matter with a confidently calm yet simultaneously aggressive delivery. Simone has always been one of my favorite artists to cover, thanks in large part to the layered presentation of his content. With "Clout", an essay could be composed on both the track itself and the accompanying video - while both seem almost overly simple upon first glance/listen, the song and video cover a lot of ground over the course of five and a half minutes. The visuals are split between two backdrops - Raz being "studied" in a research facility and Raz rapping in the street. The vibe of the production on "Clout" syncs up perfectly with the dreary, simple visual of Simone in the rainy streets...appropriately carrying a black umbrella. It's
