Hayes - "Tidalwave" [prod. Grant Evans]

Hayes popped up in December with a uniquely seductive twist on a classic Christmas tune and I've been looking forward to hearing more from the fresh songstress ever since. Now, as the days continue to fly by in 2019, Haley Rae is preparing to drop her debut EP in March and she's liberated the Grant Evans-produced "Tidalwave" while simultaneously teasing the release of her next single.

Floating upon the vibrant instrumentation that comes courtesy of Evans, Hayes fills the new record with passionate vocals that emanate from the depths of her being. Just like the flowing ocean, Hayes' crooning rises high before crashing down, sending sonic ripples of emotion throughout the song. It's a beautiful ride for the listener to experience, combining a well-balanced blend of airy and spirited delivery with wavy, high-energy production.

Fresh off the heels of another trip around the sun, Raz Simone comes through with his first visuals of 2018. In typical Raz fashion, the Black Umbrella founder holds nothing back on "Clout", addressing a myriad of subject matter with a confidently calm yet simultaneously aggressive delivery. Simone has always been one of my favorite artists to cover, thanks in large part to the layered presentation of his content. If the last couple weeks are any indication, it would appear safe to presume the Black Umbrella family is ready to unleash an onslaught of content upon the masses this year. It became evidently more clear when, after dropping the cinematic " Clout ", Raz Simone returned with two new videos in just about as many days. The first release came in the form of the Paul Judge-produced "Jose", a plug-feuled anthem accompanied by another Jacob Hill-shot visual experience. Filmed on location in Guadalajara, Mexico, "Jose" showcases Simone and Anthony Danza laying their fiery verses in all the places most tourists would be unable to visit.
